sea fishing

Sea Fishing

The groups will be led by primitive living expert and angling instructor Michael Wachter.

We aim to use sea fishing as a way of improving health and wellbeing for local men.

Sea Fishing in a relaxed and friendly environment. Connecting with our coastal landscapes which we're so lucky to have here in Hastings.

GPs, nurses, and other health care professionals can now prescribe angling instead of antidepressants in many parts of the UK.

It is becoming more widely recognised that the time with nature, quiet reflection, meeting new people and learning a new skill can help people battling anything from addiction to anxiety.

Reading the water

We will offer immersive coastal experiences teaching you the art of harvesting food sustainably from the coast.

You will learn to read the water as well as using other animals as clues to where fish could be.

We will have a chance to chase Sea Bass and Mackerel which we hopefully will be able to eat straight on the beach.

Art of Fishing

This course demystifies the age-old art of fishing. By the end you will have all the knowledge to continue your journey and your relationship with the sea.

Observation overrides gear meaning we only take what is absolutely essential.

“We've been to a few fishing sessions and the coastal foraging session and we're totally hooked! Incredibly informative and passionate organisers and teachers that know so much about the local environment. The smoked bass was delicious! Can't recommend them enough.”
