Our coast

Hastings is a uniquely beautiful seaside town with a rich and fascinating coastal history.

Local beaches are adored by locals and visitors alike for the stunning cliffs, abundant rockpools, pebble beaches and sandy walks. People enjoy swimming, sailing, fishing, water sports, walking, and relaxing. We have a ship wreck, an award-winning pier and a vibrant and historic fishing community which can boast the largest off beach harbour in Europe.

We are so lucky to live on this magnificent area of British coastline. We want to help local people connect with their coastal environment. To discover, explore, play and protect our precious beaches and sea. We want local people to learn more about this environment, to care for it and in turn improve our own wellbeing health and happiness.
