Conservation is the preservation, protection, or restoration of the natural environment and of wildlife. Establishing and ensuring the prevention of wasteful use of resources.

We know we are consuming too much; we know we are polluting our planet beyond measure; we are diminishing our resources at a terrifying pace, we are witnessing mass extinction around the world, dangerous changes in climate, and increasingly erratic weather. The way we live is damaging our planet and it is not sustainable, in fact, it’s far beyond sustainable, it is out of control.

So, what can we do?

Participants will delve into environmental education, building a deeper understanding of ecology and biodiversity. Through hands-on activities, they will develop practical woodland management and conservation skills, such as tree felling and habitat creation.

We also explore critical global challenges, including climate change and pollution, fostering awareness and meaningful discussions. By empowering participants with knowledge and skills, we give them a platform to reflect on these issues and consider how we can all contribute to a healthier, more sustainable future.

One thing we can all do right now is to start giving back, to try and give more than we take. At Project Rewild we establish emotional connections with the natural world, which in turn helps us to love and care for our home. In practical terms we aim to teach and share conservation skills, to help us protect and preserve, to restore and grow.

We must act now. We work together with our groups and community’s; conservation and protection are fundamental to the work we do. Our work is as much about the needs of our planet as it is about the needs of humanity, indeed there is no separation between the two. If our planet is sick, then so are we.
